Exeter is a thriving capital hub with its rich history spanning more than 2,000 years from Roman times. Once a bustling port for the woollen trade, today Exeter combines architectural splendour with a bountiful array of shops, restaurants, bars and live music venues.

Sandy expanses of Dawlish Warren and Exmouth, to the crunch of pebbles at Branscombe and Beer, thirty miles of stunning coastline.

Visit the coastal town of Sidmouth, with its Regency hotels and esplanade or the historic estuary port of Topsham with its unusual Dutch trader's houses and Georgian architecture.

With most of the area designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to two National Parks, there are few places better to get close to nature and enjoy the pace of country life.
